Felony
Defense or other Criminal Defense issues or disputes.
Felony crimes are criminal offenses that are of a more
serious nature than that of a misdemeanor crime. In most
cases that involves sentencing that includes incarceration,
the convicted party will serve his or her term of
incarceration in state or federal prison depending on the
type of crime and seriousness of the events of the crime.
Depending on the specific felony crime an individual is
convicted of the sentencing guidelines for incarceration may
range from 1 year in prison to life imprisonment without the
possibility of parole. In capital felony convictions, the
possibility of the death penalty may or may not be
applicable as a conviction penalty.
In the State of Florida, an individual convicted of a felony
crime will automatically loose specific civil liberties such
as the right to vote, the ability to work in certain areas
of occupation or hold certain professional or occupational
licenses, the right to legally own or possess a firearm, the
ability to serve on a jury, the ability to run or hold
public office. With some felony crimes, the loss of these
privileges are permanent, and with other felony crimes the
convicted party may request his or her rights to be legally
restored. Contact our office at

for more information about how these liberties may apply to
your specific circumstances.
